I remember back in the fog of time, i suggested that we play another game alongside SOF2.
This suggestion got some good feedback and we ended up playing Raven Shield and Athena's Sword.
People rushed off and bought the game and add on pack and we had a jolly old time sneaking about and shooting those nasty terrorists.
Unfortunately it appears this has fallen by the wayside :( which is a shame because it was a good laugh and break from SOF2 and the wankers that play it.
So, with the above in mind, i'm up for suggesting yet another game to break the monotonous bollox that is SOF2.
I have a couple of suggestions, and after having a brief chat with Tarmac, Aliens Versus Predator came up.
So what do ppl think? Do we venture outside the closet that is SOF2? Do we carry on with RvS? Or do we all go stale and stinky with SOF2?
Now i know SOF2 is a very popular game, and i know we have a server and i know it's established and blah blah blah blah. This isn't a slagging of of SOF2, but a suggestion about branching out into different areas.
I know Far Cry got a major fucking over with that shitty patch that did more harm than good, but it's a bloody good game all round.
So suggestions plz ppl.

Far Cry
Aliens vs Predator - Yes (Got both versions, but I still like the first one more)
Far Cry - Yes

Serious Sam - Multiplayer Co-op is a must.
Operation Flashpoint - Loads of guns, loads of tanks, loads of helicopters, massive maps.
Need for Speed Underground - We don't have to shoot each other all the time, do we?
Most of these games are now available on budget labels.

BAH! and i just got rid of my Need for Speed Underground aswell lol.
All your suggestions Tar are indeed on budget labels. Op Flashpoint i wasn't too keen on, despite it having everything i look for in a game - Tanks, Helicopters (buggers to use), cars trucks etc. I believe in the 2nd one you could even ride a scooter?
I'm off out tomoz to buy those games anyway so i'll be on the lookout for patch sites etc.
And no, we don't need to shoot each other all the time ;)
If we could get more people interested in RvS I'd feel happier about the effort I've put into providing it.
I've just upgraded the server so it should be up full time now.
If it's not wanted, then let me know and I'll trash it.
I'm still up for some RvS it's a good game. It just seems to off fallen by the wayside.
The other games weren't a suggestion of ditching RvS, if ppl go on the server then i'll gladly go on. Had some good laughs on it :)
Just thought it might nice to have a change once in a while :)
Epo, I am sure we can get great use out of it with any other multiplayer game in rotation, no need to trash the configs etc, just add to the fecker with some other titles...
AvP sounds goody, does one HAVE to have the official games etc...? *wink* *wink*
I'm not sure to be honest Wes. If we ran a local server like Epo has for RvS then i *think* we could get away with it. A bit like a lan but over the wire so to speak.
What do our experts say? Is it possible to run *official* multiplayer games over the wire?

Great. First we had TP now we have EP wigwams and extended play records! wWhateer next...........
Now have Need For Speed Underground, Op Flashpoint, and IL2 Sturmovik.
So if anyone fancies a blast online, gis a shout
F.E.A.R is bloody good online, but you need a monster pc to play it.
AvP 1, scarey damned game.
I've also just re-downloaded HL2 DM, CS:Source aswell.
Don't forget theres BF:V, BF2 aswell.
Not played FEAR, is it any good?

OoOoh I Have F.E.A.R And I Really Liked It.... Haven't Played It For Such A Loooong Time Now Though. I Even Completed Playing The SP Which Is Such An Achievement For Me *Feels Proud* HeHe :) Was Kinda Scary And Made Me Jump A Few Times Eeek *Blush* Didn't Play MP That Much.
I shall d/l it when i get in later and give it a bash.
Scariest game i played had to be AVP, that game should of been renamed "Ammo Waster"
AvP was certainly the scariest, FEAR a close second.

Although calling it a unique multiplayer experience is a lie, the BF series have been doing this for years now. And it does look just like BF2142
