Hi guys

Here is my application to join.....

I am 33 and have been playing BF2 for about 18 months (although I rarely play vanilla these days). I have been playing PR for about 6-8 months and really like the realism of it.

I play on the T&T server quite often (my name is =mark= wardlemjw) mainly because I get low pings, and also because it dosent seem to have the level of idiots that some of the other servers get (not sure how you have managed this but well done !). The T&T people also seem quite friendly and helpful which makes a change "

Anyway, I am happy to pay the monthly fee etc

I don't recall seeing on the server but please jog my memory if I have or what other T&T members you may have come across.

It's great you are okay with our recruitment criteria however we do like to get to you know a little on the server first- so join in & fight!

In the meantime have a look round the forums etc & join in on TS

Nothing more to it really - ask to join a 'tacteam' squad

Hey guys - thanks for the replies !

Glad at least some of you recognise the name, if only because no-one knows what to call me over VOIP because my name (which is my surname and initials) looks a bit random - hence i put =mark= at the front but this seems to confuse people even more for some reason !!! LOL Might think about a new account for PR.

I did join your server last night (before I read these replies) but you were on Kashan and I really hate that map so didnt hang around long. I like to play infantry which is impossible on that map as its all about air power and armour so I bugged out and went to play on another server.

Will try and hook up with you guys again on Thursday (going to the Arsenal game tonight so wont be online).

I dont have a goat by the way !!!lol

I normally use the BF2 VOIP to talk to people in game rather than teamspeak or Xfire - mainly because I havent got a clue how to get teamspeak to work together with BF2 on my computer - I dont suppose you know of any idiot proof guides for this?

It's a stand alone program that works alongside anything you want really - not just PR.

Once you have downloaded & installed - read the important info section stickies re TS.

If you have any problems at all - post up & we'll get it sorted!!!

Also, we expect to hear your plan to improve your goat fetish!

Might think about a new account for PR.

That's not a bad idea... a simple name makes a big difference when working in a squad with voip..(well for me at least)

When you have 5 squad members like:

Viglen
Epoch
Heskey
JohnThomas
MiyTarHge
HsJaNIII

You can imagine which members i'll referr to by name and which will get a little ignored. Simply in the heat of battle i really cant be arsed to figure out what to call someone.

I love simple names! But on the other hand 'ward' is what i'd call you.. and that aint too hard!

Yeah - I hate stooopid unpronouncable names.

When in doubt I'll just call someone 'medic' (or nurse), 'engineer', 'squad leader' etc.

thanks for the TS link - I have downloaded and tried it before, will give it another go ! I fI hit any problems i will come grovelling on here for help ! I think the problem I had before was allocating the talk button so that it worked whilst I was in BF2 (although to be honest I got annoyed with it quite quickly so didnt really spend enough time on it)

Use voice activiation and allocate a random key to mute your mic ;) TS is great, where we can all meet and go on different games if we want to aswell, tis all T&T :D

Hmmm, voice activation is not such a good thing - especially if you are new to it!!!
(you tend to hear everyones domestic life & pets in the back ground!)

I have a spare button on my mouse mapped for TS when playing PR with the middle mouse button for in game VOIP.

Headset is definately best although some members like to boom on every TS/VOIP possible as they are using speakers.....!

Teamspeak overlay is useful when you are getting to know members:

cheers guys - good round the other night (apart from the other squads sitting in the middle of the map not doing anything that is) !

Will add my T&T tags, and will sort out the monthly subs thing, assume I can set up an automatic paypal thing every month to save me having to remember to send the cash every month - will read the sticky as assume the details are in there.

I will have a think about a more pronouncable ingame name !!
