Well T&T is a sweet server.. and a good group of guys.

Do you want me in your ranks? ..as after all these years terrorising random servers it would be nice to call one home. :D

I'm sure most of you know me.. been playing PR since 0.2

See ya soon.

Hey dude :D always seeing you on Realitymod and have always thought of you as one of the "core" members. Also obviously weve had some good ol' games every now and then ;)

I for one feel quite chuffed that you've taken fancy to T&T as a place to call home :D.

As you may or may not have noticed theres a certain type we try to recruit as T&T members. There are others who we like to have play regularly on the server and chat on the forums but for one reason or another from them or us they aren't right for T&T

This is one person here saying I think youre definately the "Right Stuff" for our community :P

If you Havn't already I highly recommend viewing the recruitment sticky... http://www.tacteam.org/forums/showthread.php?t=908

If you're happy with the details of being in T&T then chuck us in a proper ol' app and let us know about your goat situation, we don't have free goats you know...

If you don't like the membership requirements then plz do stay within our community albeit without tags or goats, You're always welcome here mate ;)

SO! let us know if all is ok with the Sticky and I'm sure Epoch will get back to you very very shortley ;)

EDIT: to stop arse kissing... lol

Thanks Cain.. kind words..

Well goats eh? hmmm my favorite animal... just ask the wife ;)

Anyway a little about myself...

Brought up in Ireland... Live in Bristol since college days way back in the early 90's... yup i'm an old git.. of 34.

I've never been in a clan.. and never will. But a community of like minded gamers having fun such as T&T is just a great idea. Age is not important but maturity is very.

Played with Epoch many a day.. but not for some time now. And i'm pretty sure your ethos is up my street.

What i will give is consistent teamplay, teamwork and hard learnt PR tactics. I always use voip.

I dont have time or the desire for any other games, except a dabble in FH2 (as i love a good WW2 game, but in terms of teamwork it is just not PR)

I started gaming on 'tanks' but when my flat mate upgraded his PC to a Pentium1 from a x486 the processor was tooo fast to play the game... then was Duke Nuke 3D...and then came alone BF42 and the rest is history.. lol

So... that's kind of me.. i try and do what i preach.. and i dont suffer PR/BF2 fools (smacktards) likley.

So if i can ask... what do members get for their membership? etc etc..

(and what is with the goats... i know they are very funky animals..but???)

Hi MadTommy.

Thanks for your interest in Tactics & Teamwork.

Aaaah Duke Nukem 3D - those were the days. Jetpack FTW! :p

I'm pleased you've posted a request to join us - you're certainly one of the server regulars on my 'watch list' of desired recruits. Don't take 'desired' the wrong way - we're not like that. Well - we are - but only with goats.

Sadist_Cain has been highly trained in our indoctrination techniques. When he subtly pointed you to the recruitment sticky, he was implying you take particular notice of the paragraph highlighted in white! We need to know that new recruits are OK with that particular aspect of membership.

What do you get for being a member? Well - nothing tangible that you can take home and stick on the fridge. You do get the warm, fuzzy feeling that comes with supporting a community dedicated to tactical-based gameplay. Naturally you get on the server when it's full (reserved slots not working - you need to come on TS and say 'kick someone for me!!'). We can throw in some goat pictures too if you like.

And, of course, you get to wear the designer [T&T] tags. I hear they're this year's in thing. Even Trinny & Susannah love them.

hehe yeah i did notice that... shouldn't be a problem

All sounds good. But a goat fridge magnet would be nice.

TBH i would like, (obviously after some time for trust to be built up) that i can have influence on the T&T server as i like nothing better than having a smacktard free environment. And as far as i can tell, you can never have too many people helping administer a BF2/PR server.

OOO member ship perks, not to mention the goats... :P

Though reserved slots don't work if the server is full space will always be made for a T&T member.

You get access to the members Teamspeak where we can all go to make use of our many private rooms, be it for squadley effectiveness... "alone time" or just being on a different game with some chaps. tis like being given a 5 bedroomed house instead of 1 :D

Also the members section of the forums is open to you, this would be where we discuss fine wines and cheese.

The main thing is just because we are such a tight knit group of carefully selected players you wont see any ol' fools tottering about with T&T tags on and when playing on ze zerver we strictly enforce the rule of follow orders or be kicked.
So when you're a good player who has a server full of players who have to follow your orders. :o You tend to find every player Noob, foriegn language, no mic whatever, acting the way theyre told to. Especially if its a fellow with T&T in his name whos "suggesting" the good orders...

I had a guy on my squad (pub player btw) who spoke french, two french guys joined and locked themselves away. server rule, they unlock, join us mute everyone but the french guy, they happily speak french isolated by themselves and My translator tells them where they need to be.

RESULT!!! I have a french foriegn legion fireteam being coordinated by a public translator. We can do pincers, effective cover fire, 2 watching while the rest prep IEDs. Now if that isnt a member perk then please tell me what is?!

Goats? lol

MadTommy

Welcome to Tactics & Teamwork. May your time with us be merry and goat-laden!

I've amended your forum permissions accordingly. Feel free to dive into the Member's Forum. There's nowt in there really, just monthly pleas for server money, and the odd rant or two.

I look forward to gaming with you soon.
