hey guys,
With all the weird & wonderful game names, thought it would be interesting to find out their origin!
For me, commando was chosen as in my first BF2 clan (arnies right bicep =ARB=) you had to be named after an arnie character!
The 101 bit was a random choice as there are plenty of 'commandos'!
That's me done....
GunwitchUK came from a comic i've read called Nocturnals.
He was made by Doc Horror as a bodyguard and babysittere for his daughter and resembles a gun-toting, zombie scarecrow.
UK because i live in the UK duh!
Boring one here ...
I used to own a company called Epoch Computer Services Ltd. I named the company because of the meaning of the word 'epoch' - new era, big change etc etc cos we were working on millenium bug stuff ....
Took my in-game name from that.
Yawn

My name came from around 2004 when I first played delta force 2 with a friend, decided I'd be Cain, he didnt wanna be able cos then Id have to murder him :P. We would work as a sniper pair, managed to headshot someone at 600m the bullet went through him and killed his m8 behind him too, promptly called a sadistic bastard and so I decided to add that when I made a new account later (Cain was taken :'()
there ya go my life history :P

Spose there is a slight hint to being Cained in my name lol :p
Brummy/Brummie - Guess
Bloodsport - I was playing soccer and someone broke my leg. Somehow it was bleeding and some guy said Bloodsport! :p
You leg does that when you break it. You immediately lose a pint of blood on the initial break.
Bones aren't the dry solid smooth things everyone imagines - they're filled with blood and actually very spongey. So yeah, breaking one of the Long Bones - arm or leg - is pretty dangerous. Broken femur is life threatening, especially if it's an open fracture.
Anyways.
Mas'aq is the name of an orbital in Ian Banks' book "Conside Phlebas". Its AI was the retired mind of a cruiser.
Weirdly, "Al Masaq" is the name the Journal of the Mediterranian Medieval Society: "Al Masaq - Islam and the Medieval Mediterranian" - my RL name's Alex, often shortened to Al lol.
well my name because it was iven to me by the Skate crew because of my style of skateboarding. and 424 because it was a random enough number :D

Even my girlfriend calls me Cheppi, everyone does really.
Though some twat made an account with it for BF2 then never played it, so i had to change the "i" to a "1". I also did it as it makes look like a 1337 gamer wit leet skillz
Hanniz
Origins back to the good old days of infantile, nervous and still fun times in the year 1997 when I got my first computer. Before that I had only played on friends computers.
With my 64 ISDN modem I did search the net for keywords like "sex", and "PORN", re-organized all the mess in the C directory on my computer, (put all the single files into a misc catalog) and much more. I had a steep learning curve and got some very hard lessons.
When I got on line a whole new world appeared. Then I needed a nick. Already being a strategy-junkie (like these guys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLqW7G8797U) I off course picked "Hannibal" as my nick.
Then I discovered the on line chat possibilities and being single at the time (well I got that after a short period of chatting and partying at the university to be honest) I started to use Hannibal.
To make a long story shorter, I meet a girl online who gave me the "pet name" Hanniz instead and I just kept to that. The fact that she wanted to have a lots of uncommitted sex with me and was totally crazy in bed has nothing to with it. It just adds some flavor to the story.
ahh, those were the days...
well, well, back to my :goat:.
Did you ever meet this girl?
If not, 'she' was probably a 56 year old lorry driver called Rolf.
Rolf, how did you know that?:)
sure, I meet here several times. The problem was that I found out later that she was a girl of " low moral fiber" and had a lacking understanding of "loyalty" and after a short period she accidentally meet another guy.
A great excuse for me, since I had already decided that she was a tad to crazy for me. I was "enraged" off course and then I dumped her.
But hey, don't let this evolve to a semi-erotic smut tread!
At least I have memories attached to my name.

I wish she'd stop picking up these strangers in bisexual chat rooms :p
Heskey is a direct derivation from my RL surname 'Hesketh', and an alternate spelling to how my older brother (2 years senior) used to spell it when he used it; "Heskie"
