Sorry guys but i've had enough of PR.
I've tried 10 times tonight to try and get on after disconnecting to replace my tags after yet another reinstall. Having "Server refuses connection" at the login screen, having my pc freeze up, smacking the reset button because task manager won't appear or alt and tabbing won't work, i've uninstalled the piece of shit. This is one of the reasons i dropped BF2142, the constant crap and disregard from developers to actually listen to gamers trying to play their games. Yes i know you'll get this from other games - i've had them too, but now i've had enough. Here's a small list of what i have tried in the past two weeks to remedy this fucking problem:

Downloaded 4 times including patches, updates and PB
Reinstalled 5 times
Updated PB every time it's crashed
Cleaned my hard drive,
Deleted anti virus software
Turned off firewalls, anti virus, spyware the lot.
Tried to delete my account, retrieve account, do a new account (only doable IF you fucking login)
Updated all software on my PC
Deleted dodgey software as torrent downloaders etc
Posted on PR Forums, PB etc with no effect (only the usual patronising bollocks)
Swore, cajooled, threatened, punched kicked headbutted my pc monitor keyboard.

Only thing i haven't done is a full reformat which i refuse to do as that isn't the problem.

Any other "constructive"£ and i mean no piss taking, advice i will listen to.

feel your pain m8 - hmmm,no piss taking you said - will be hard but 'll try...! :p

I've played PR since 0.4 & only recently had any prolems at all.

EA state they are having probs with the login server atm - this in addition to the PB issue.

My advice mate - let them sort it - I have absolutely no cofidence in game producers either however the actual game runs fine when you can login/PB behavin.

There is not many options to PR imo atm - i'm gonna stick with it unless it's clear it's perma knackered!

I'll reinstall it tomorrow when i've calmed down. I did this before and it was ok until sunday'monday which is bloody stupid.
Just really pissed off after what happened over the weekend with the little one being rushed to hospital.

I had the same Gunny.My box nearly went out of the window and through the conservatory roof.I did all those things you did.

Only way I sorted it was to do a full reformat/reinstall of Windows,SP2,Autopatched to August.I run around 23 processes when playing.A lot more when I'm browsing downloading.My box needed it to be honest.

The EA servers are always crap.They were really bad for me at the weekend.Only got on once last night as well.Server full.

i reinstalled PR this morning full latest game, manually patched PB, ran it, retrieved my account details on both accounts and got on our server.

Then i ran TS, started PR, joined our server, drove about a bit.
Then i ran TS started up the TS Overlay and joined hte server.

No problems.

I refuse to do a full reformat of windows, it's all clean and spangly and no errors. It's the damn EA MAster server screwing up yet again. I'm at college tonight but i'll try and get on when i come back when there's more people on the master server.

Its a shame, have you done these things? Sorry if you have, just trying to help:

Delete your BF2 folder in my documents.
Ever used ABR?
Only happens with BF2 right, so not a router problem?
You say you reinstalled, did you reinstall PB aswell? There is a .exe you can download like pb_setup that does it.

I will try and think of more. But I am leaning towards the BF2 folder if you never actually deleted it. Sorry if you did.

It's the Gamespy servers, and the fact that Gunny's ISP sucks ass.

It's not the PC, nor the installation, which works fine one day then not the next.

I have the same problems on my Pipex connection from time to time (though not as much as Gunny) but I'm lucky cos I have another ADSL with a different ISP too.

I think I'm going to quit with Pipex - you might wanna consider doing the same Nat. Maybe think about Demon, Nildram or something?

Deleted that folder aswell - everytime.
Alex done all that , inlcuding PB setup - being an ex-BF2142 gamer you end up having to do it lol.
Worked tonight was on with banner and bullets after college for a bit.

It's my isp, it's sporadic one night it'll let me on, the next it won't. The computer is well looked after and cleaned regularly as i didn't spend this much on it to have it bugger about.
Unfortunately i'm stuck with Pipe-shite until fecking April as i can't afford the crossover fee otherwise i'd be with BeThere and a 22 meg line for less than i'm paying now.
