BF2142 tips

To start BF2142 without the movie files:

Go to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods\bf2142\Movies and either delete all the files, or rename them from <filename>.bik to <filename>.bak

To start BF2142 and log into your EA account and preferred soldier automatically:

Right click on the shortcut to BF2142 on your desktop (or create a new one). Change the 'target' path to:

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\BF2142.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +eaAccountName <yourEAaccount> +eaAccountPassword <yourEApass> +soldierName <yoursoldier>

For example:

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\BF2142.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +eaAccountName epoch +eaAccountPassword password +soldierName epoch.uk

Everything is case sensitive (e.g. +eaaccountname won't work). Naturally those aren't my login details. Also note the soldier name does not include the clan tag.

If you want to auto-join the MKP server when you start BF2142, just add the following to the end of that shortcut path:

+joinServer 85.236.101.22 +port 16767

If you remove the movies and set auto login, you'll get a black screen when you start BF2142. This is perfectly normal.

For the happy owner of a TFT 19' :

ok all vehicles have "sweet spots" and they are all up the arse holes.. have a look around the back of any vehicle an look for a vent/grill it may not be big, but shoot these "sweet spot" and vehicles will be destroyed much easier.

squad leader recon drone (2nd unlock) is 10million times better that the assault drone (3rd unlock) so dont like me waste an unlock on the 3rd.

You can even take out a walker with a LMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have something wrong with 2142.

I downloaded the update file and double clicked to install and nothing happens =/
