The "Euro Forces" booster pack for BF2 is out.

It costs £5.99 (for the UK - other countries prices will vary) and is worth getting. It's got three new maps, new weapons etc.

Easiest way to get it is to click on the info box which appears after you start BF2.

I've recently gotten into battlefield 2 again. Made a new profile to start off fresh. I've discovered the wonders of the support class :D

I love sneaking up on a group of snipers and just mowing them down with my machine gun. Too much fun.

Karkand is my fav I hope we get more city maps in the next booster pack that is out march 28th I think.

That's nonsense! I've seen other threads which claim the .50 cal sniper rifle is close to useless, compared to the other sniper rifles as regards accuracy, and as demostrated, guns like the PKM are better than any sniper rifle :\ The .50 cal should be able to kill in one shot, with almost no regard to health or where they're hit. I suppose the claymores make up somewhat for sniper classes other weaknesses.

BF2 the only game u need one hour before to start a map (fooking "data client checking") and it will crash after 5 minutes !!!

That used to take ages for me too. Then I defragmented by hard disk and that seems to have helped a little bit. My friend has two raptor 10,000rpm drive sin a Raid0 array... takes literally seconds for him... bastard.
