We are NOT on GMT!

This has been annoying me for quite some time now...

On fairwars matches are usually played at 20:00 GMT yes?

which we always take as being 8 pm UK time!

But see UK isn't on GMT at the moment. It is on what is called British summer time.

So really it should say 19:00 GMT for a match starting at 20:00 UK time.

and NOT GMT - GMT does NOT switch!

In winters when we turn our clocks back an hour that is when we are on GMT.

I know what you mean Abs. That annoys me too.

That's why I always say 'UK' time. Her Majesty's United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is the centre of the universe after all.

But perhaps we should all use internet time (http://www.timeanddate.com/time/internettime.html)

Or even ....... Unix time (http://www.unixtimestamp.com)
