In the Battlefield 2 v1.5 patch, a limitation to the amount of map markers the Commander can place was hardcoded to one per minute, which made our...

The radio "weapon" will look kinda cool when in use, as a SM watching the SL.

calm down kids, its not that amazing!!!
Yes it is. Oh yes it is! I've been waiting for something like this for so long! Really can't wait to use it :)
I'm hoping you only have to be facing the right direction without line of sight - calling in for pinpoint support from cover would be amazing.
Because it's based off menu options rather than what you can physically see Squaddie, I imagine you will be able to place markers from behind cover.
It looks like a great feature and I can't wait, but why the orgasms guys? Waiting for so long for a feature like this? The ability to mark enemy locations? =P
Calling in for support is the reason I play PR. It's as simple as that - in my mind, it's the single thing PR has over any other game.
It's when your leading a squad, and shit has hit the fan. The feeling of holding out for as long as you can, keeping your squad alive, until another squad arrives in a huey, or a tank appears on the horizon, or CAS is rained down... That feeling of liberation, of someone else you've probably never met actually giving a shit if your squad dies or not.
Being able to call it in to this degree simply makes it feel less like vietnam, and more like pin-point modern death.
Deep, man. Where's the kleenex?! =O

This^ and the fact that its immersive! Your under fire by an enemy APC, you see a chopper squad up, so you reach for the radio and tell them theres an APC. Minutes later 2 cas hueys come over it and destroy it!
Thats how it would look like in real-life/movie and now you can do that in a video game! I dont care that the radio isnt real tool to enable voip to another squad. But the fact that it takes so many clicks just to point an APC on the map is close enough. Its cool :D As a Squad-Member as well. Covering the SL while hes talking on the radio :salute:

Is nobody else seeing the words Rifeman AP in the kit list. As well as the melee option on his kit loadout?
Or are you all to exited about a bloke holding a finger to his ear to see the claymores?
IDF don't use knives apparantly so there melee weapon is a firm whack to the face with the butt of the rifle... as for AP riflemen.... unless its got something other than claymores a fail to see the reasoning for adding it... though i'm sure someone else can enlighten us on this...
as for the rest of it... well i never go squad leader on pr so.... cool the popup hud gets a breath of fresh air, otherwise not gonna affect me
Some great new features there.
Oh, I wonder what other surprises are in store :D
plenty of room left in the change log

Couldn't give a toss about either :D
Puzzled about the 'drop kit' selection though :)
is it not the most annoying thing when you're in the middle of nowhere and your automatic rifleman suddenly discovers hes actually a very shit automatic rifleman and should've considered being a poet instead.
I reckon the novelty factor of this should get more squadleaders working with each other who wouldn't normally bother spotting things.
there's an awesome amount of options visible especially considering where its come from, yet the interface remains clean and fairly unintimidating (thats not even a word :) ) to the novice, again, hopefully encouraging more spotting and stuff.
I'm fooking excited about 0.9 :P and this change as well cos it's an SL kit change, Yay!!!

haha again, the same. Im not getting anything out of grenade traps. Yea, I do, the odd teamkill, Im not even placing them ON the cache like most blue guys do. So I cant look forward to that new riflemen. And its cool to have a melee attack but its the same as a knife. Its not like you get anything new.
drop your kit and become a civilian :D
