View Full Version : RoF Server - Custom Missions
Ok chaps.
It's been a couple of weeks since I reinstalled RoF on the server and reverted to stock missions. Since then, we've updated to 1.010.
How is the stability now?
I'd really like to get custom missions back on the box, if the general feeling is that the server's running ok.
I assume the custom missions would need updated for 1.010? Sensenmann?

it broke once as far as I know but has been ok since it was restarted, played on it for an hour or so just now and it was fine
I don't think the missions need as much work for the 1.09 to 1.10 patch (if anything) than they needed for the 1.08 to 1.09.
The problem was the change to the editor that introduced the problems, so (hopefully I'm not giving you bum info) the 1.09 versions should work under 1.10.

I am pretty sure the 1.009 version of the missions should run without any problems, but I updated my all the same. You should still be able to put up Tommy's, Masaq's, and WWBrian's missions... if they have made it through updating to at least 1.009.
Did you see this thread regarding capture Sensenmann?

Mine've not been updated to 1.009 standard, afraid RL's been too busy. When things quieten down in the new year, I'll set about getting to grips with the updates to the ME if we're planning on holding on to the RoF server.
I played a good few missions the other night on T&T without getting a 10019 error Masaq, but every mission change gives one on Hussars.
Does your .sds point at the .mission file or the .msnbin file?
Have you altered anything else from the default "dedicated_server.sds"?
Could you tell me what your incoming and outgoing traffic limits are currently set to?
I'm down to clutching at straws here, but maybe there is something obvious I am missing.
SDS points to the filename, the server process itself adds the ".mission" automatically - if you specify ".msnbin" at the end of the filename in the SDS file, the game looks for "missionname.msnbin.mission" and freaks out. :)
