We use FireDaemon to run our game server processes. To enable us to run RoF like this, we'd need dserver.exe to be able to parse a parameter to automatically load the .sds file.

For example

dserver.exe -config=tacteam.sds

If not that, then some other way that dserver.exe can start and know how to load a config rather than having to manually File-Open the necessary file.

I asked Neoqb about this in August. They said it was already possible (dserver.exe filename.sds) but in fact it never worked. They never responded after that, and I gave up, accepting that we are in fact throwing our money at a beta test....

Thanks for the PM Squid. I'll have another try at getting dserver.exe to work the way we need it to.

I don't want to spend too much time though, as funds are low and I'm not sure how much longer we can continue providing the server.

Ok epoch, fair dos, I wonder if it might be worth asking players for a donation to the sever costs? Do you have a facility for this to be setup?

I had a chat with the guys on TS, and Im sure you will be getting some donations as nobody wants to see the T&T server go away, and appreciate it costs you guys money and time to maintain.

Rico - TS isn't the best indicator - people will use the channel once the T&T server goes down, and after reporting it here - play elsewhere until T&T comes back up.

Server had frozen on one of the AI-based missions. Restarted; back up.

There was me, an Aussie, a Frenchman and a Russian (no, this isn't the start to a poor joke) using your TS but were unable to get into the server, so we stole a little of your bandwidth to chat while we looked for another.

Hussars server is back up and patched, though still with everything turned on.

Really can't wait until there's a better front end and I can access it through a browser. With it running on the desktop of the box I cannot access it at all like I can our racing and FPS servers.

MP server.
