Well, obviously you need to aim the plane, and obviously what with gun convergence being what it is - you need to be damn close.
Now, it's reasonably easy in a single-gun plane to aim because the gun is usually centerline fired and you have the sight in the centre of your view.
However, the twin-gun planes are posing more of a problem for me. How do you effectively aim? Use a single gunsight and hunch forward over the stick so it's in the centre of your view, or use rough reference points in the cockpit to tell you when the other chap is in correct position...?
