View Full Version : Flight night?
Can we organise a regular flight night? Whether is be BlackShark or LockOn. (or Rise of Flight in the future)
I'm finding it hard to get time to play at the minute but if i can plan maybe a 2 hour slot once a week i'll be able to put it aside for flight sims. And maybe we can get a regular slot for flying together. Its much more fun with a few of us in the air together. And these games are not as easy to just pick up and play as are PR or Arma when you have a free hour or so.
I'd suggest Thursday night... I just feel we wont get decent games without some organisation.
I can't do Wednesday and therefore its not an option :p Poll will accept multiple entries.

Im gonna get back into Lock On I think, its a good game and Iv got a joy stick so shouldnt be too much hassle!
Medic.. get LockOn installed and working then please vote. In the mean time i've removed your votes.
We play with the flaming cliffs addon as well, so you'll need that.

I have never uninstalled lockon =P
Would need to go through the tutorials again though.
Currently i can do any and every night but after my holidays are over i think games such as this and arma would be moved to weekends in my mind as they can take alot of time to do etc.
^^ cool.
Problem with the weekends is.. if we try and make it a semi regular thing.. people are always doing things/going away etc on weekends (Friday & Saturday nights). To make it pretty regular i think it's more likely to work on a work night/ school night. But maybe that's just me. Sunday night's a good one in general.
I can do any night bar Wednesday, but i wouldn't want to book Friday or Saturday night really for gaming. (kind of get out and do things nights)

Sunday nights not a bad idea i think.
Although it should start early if possible something like 5pm/6pm
That way it allows those with work/school commitments to enjoy a full game and still be able to go to bed early if they so choose.
I know i usualy use sunday as my early night to catch up on sleep.
You've made Medic sad now :-(
Ok back to reality, thts cool Tommy Ill get it done bro. Should be good fun actually. You guys are gonna have to go though the whole process of teaching me how to fly and all that its beena while to say the least lol!
I wont be orgaising this. If anyone else wants to do it, cool, go for it.
BUMP....
I know Tommy's still interested in this, and now getting a Track IR is looking like it might finally be possible for me, my interest in getting to grips with DCS:BS is piqued too. Had fun on Lock On tonight and would be interested in a regular flight sim evening... any takers?
If I can figure out why my a-10 was flying like a bathtub full of custard then yes.
S'ok, mine was flying like a SAM magnet and Tommy's was flying like a skidoo.
Joking aside - what settings have you played with, and does it work okay in local play?
Local play flight seems ok
Right now my biggest problem is the game is crashing all the time.
Getting any error message?
Try running in window'd mode, see if it gives you a reason.
Try running in compatibility mode XP service pack 3...
