View Full Version : Hybrids COH map 1st attempt

Ok as some know ive been playing with the Company of Heroes map editor.

My aim is to make a new map for us COH'ers to use and while progress is going ok at the moment, considering im learning as im making it.

Im ok know with the terrain, textures, objetc placement and fundementals re the map and ive started building.
Once im done i need to add in AI markers and pathblocks etc

Heres some screenshots (excuse my shitty graphics)

General map overview... this ia a huge 8 player :S
2 Bridges linking each side and 2 destroyed footbridges to the island
Ignore the buildings as the top and bottom thery are there so the map will save

Hybrid looking good but heres some feedback.

The forests look a bit too square as if they are man made ie for lumber etc but that would mean all the trees would be the same and in rows these are not.

Maybe a few emerging trees doting the edge to give it a irregular feel.
Although not along the track as they would be managed there.

The church area tree have changed ill post a screenshot when i can.

This is the foundation of the axis side factory complex. it needs realigning textures, more objects etc but you get the jist.

For the industrial area make sure you clutter it up a bit for that not quite new feel =P

The above and the following screenshot are just layout.. roads etc will eb properly added and objects... just tyring to get a setup idea

Rebumping this thread as once my new pc is running i will be continuing wiht the 6+8 player versions fo this map. Feedback re the vast middle space welcome, btu the 2 hill locations are designed and im happy with, just need to fix the details for them
