Jigsaw accusing baserape.

Jigsaw managed to blow this completely out of proportion. Since I was there I'll give my view. I posted here so I don't spam your PR feedback thread.


It was NOT a baserape run. No hostile action was intended. We were just passing through.

Building on what squaddie said, we were driving past the main and were engaged first by a MEC APC.

Spawn Camping is gey, where all you do is soley go to kill ppl spawning. Thou Attacking the enemy base, mainly to saboturge vehicles etc there is a good thing. If we dont want you to attack the enemy base, we would put a dome of death around it Were we spawncaping: No, we had no visual on the spawn
Were we sabotaging vehicles: No, we were outside, trying to kill the APC that had fled
Were we attacking the base: No, we had no intention of doing so
Is there a dome of death: No, we could have driven in if we wanted to
Finally, who was better off in the end: Them

If epoch or any of the other admins would class this as baserape please feel free to ban me for however long. What jigsaw says about non regulars being kicked for the same thing is quite frankly a load of crap, if I teamkilled a few guys on purpose, for example, I'd expect be gone in a flash. Being a regular doesn't mean I'm above the rules.

I personally I don't see what the issue is. But like i said, I didn't want to spam your feedback thread.

Jake we have a thread regarding this in our members section...

I've responded on the PR forums.. i hope that will be the end of the matter. Please don't add anything unless you really feel it to be worth while, its no biggy, i can see it from both sides, mistakes were made, but i know the intent was correct... however trying to drive 2 LAVs right past the MEC main with MEC pushed back to their last flag was daft... and was the cause of the resulting baserape.

Jake ... If you were a member you'd know aaaaaall about this. But you're not. And - as I said yesterday, until you're a member you're officially GAY! :p

But anyway - don't worry about it. It's sorted. I'm confident there was no malice intended - I know Doom better than that. On reflection, it might have been more sensible to have diverted north or something, but that easy said with hindsight. TBH I think that base should be relocated away from the main road. I always have.

No harm done though.

Jake, apologies if you feel that I was accusing baserape or trying to get you banned that sincerely was not my intention as I think is obvious from the fact that I did not include names.


Please take this as constructive feedback. I do not expect to see this kind of gameplay on a server of the prestige of T&T, from anyone and especially not the people who run the server.It was meant entirely as constructive feedback, as I spotted an issue that I felt needed highlighting. I completely understand that there was no malice or wrongful intent in what happened I just think that you guys made a mistake. Ultimately you came off worst, so in terms of the result of the actual game its basically irrelevant. What I was highlighting was the mistake of both driving directly past MEC main, and then parking right outside the entrance. You shouldn't do it and thats what I was drawing attention to. Thats my opinion and I posted it as feedback, not an accusation thread on these forums.

Love it or hate it I try to get everyone to play the game the way it was meant to be played and as attacking an enemy main outside AAS is against T&T server rules, I stated my observations. Rhino too is entitled to his opinion, however as that conflicts with the rules of this server I feel it is irrelevant. My point about other players being banned for doing the same thing was simply my observation that, had Epoch/Gunwitch/Squaddie/Cain etc. been in those BTRs then I find it likely that the players controlling the LAVs would have either been given some rather sharp warnings to move away asap and/or would have been kicked. Extending it to regulars on the server was probably inaccurate, for which I apologise. In addition it was inaccurate to state that it was baserape. What it appeared to me was an attack on the enemy main. Like it or not an LAV is a heavily armed machine and driving 2 of em into an enemies main is always going to cause trouble, no matter how honourable your intentions.

Anyways, seriously its not that big a deal im just trying to make the world a better place where wars are civilised and pleasant affairs :p
