What I like is that its a nice break from PR, but involves the same elements - focusing on teamplay. The realism is decent as well and the mod can be picked up and played quickly, unlike PR where you need a good hour atleast if you're going to play.
Only requires HL2, right?

Yep. Tryed it yet tommy?
^^ for about 5 mins.. looks great, killed about 5 folks with my pistol and then had to get off... i think the game likes me :D
Love the getting out the map animation.
Yeah that is quality, PR needs that! The omaha map looks amazing but not yet played it. Shame there aren't more populated servers atm.

Im getting hooked on this as well. Like Rico said, if theres a filled up server its an easy game to get in to, play for an hour and stop. Not like PR where you know you want to use at least 2,5/3 hours because than you played 2 maps :P
One thing I think could use improving is the running speeds (a bit fast for my realism liking) and a way to let officers or NCO's actually give some leading powers like SL in PR. Now its much to easy to get lost and just make up your own plan. With players shouting stuff left and right and ordering people to follow them.
if you get a bunch of players together its an awesome experience I'd say. Almost up to par with PR at some point.
Also: If you played Brothers in Arms 1, you will recognise at least 2/3 maps. They almost copied them 1:1

Don't think thats strictly true, so long as you have one game that runs on the source engine e.g Left for Dead I think it works.
Could be wrong tho

NCO's give you bonuses though don't they? Extra sprint and your weapon sways less if there is an NCO nearby or something like that.
What it really needs is more weapons, always being stuck with the Grand or the Kar is a little dull after a while. However its strange in that when it comes to the kits picking stage it is always the one you want to get...
Some bigger maps would be good as well and I think that they are already making them but they just need to hurry up and release them!
Love the getting out the map animation.
Do want in pr! :D

I believe that's correct. You need either HL2 or CounterStrike Source SDK i believe. Left4Dead is basically a HL2/SC source mod, so might work.
HL2 episode one, is $5.99 from Steam. Though it wouldn't surprise me it it could be got cheaper eleswhere.
Is the mod free or are they charging monies for it?
free free free.
Its quite raw, but the DEVs seem to have all the right intentions..and are aiming in the right direction.
I give it 3 versions before Steam steal it like they did counterstrike then. I hate Steam and HL2. Seems like nearly every mod they slap a price on.
Mods should stay free.
Might reinstall steam and HL2 though.

Ohyea more bigger maps and more weapons for sure. I already read that they wont be putting in the STG44 since it barely saw action in normandy. As did the Gewehr 43. So there wont be that many weapons left I guess. Same as for allie's. Someone said they didnt drop with BAR's. Or was that sniper weapons?
I do hope theres a little bit more customisation tho, because as you said it will get dull if you end up with the same weapons over the same maps.
I guess I'll try downloading it if it might work if you have L4D, though that'll be on Monday
love it
it gets 5 stars for an alpha release
