View Full Version : VOIP gone all quiet.... help!

I recently rebuilt my PC. Since doing so my PR voip receive volume has gone south. I can be heard no problem.. but all voip i receive is very very quite. Never had this issue before.

In PR Audio settings.. my receive voip volume is at its max. I have also run the BF2 voip setup exe.. but this does not seem to set up receive volume, only mic and transmit volume, (which is working).

TS and mumble are both absolutely fine.. both clear and loud.

I'm not sure what to do... all other audio on my PC is working fine. Skype for example.

Lost & need help pls. :idiot:

I cant find any settings to change, that will help... all i can think of is to re-install BF2/PR.


(setup - Vista x64, x-fi extreme music, everything up to date - didn't have this issue previously on the same rig & OS.)

I had a similar prob with my realtek on-board audio a while back.

I had a similair problem. Vista was lowering the audio to BF2 (all in-game audio was quiet) Had to run the game, tab out, click on the audio icon in tray, click on 'Mixer', and raise the volume for BF2 application.

Dep...Unfortunately.. this addresses low mic (output) volume. I don't use realtek and my problem is with my receive volume.

Cheers anyway.

edit:.. Cheers Rico.. will try that thanks. (even though normal sounds.. gun shots etc are normal)

Sorry to hijack your thread mate, but does anyone know why BF2 doesn't show up in my volume mixer?

Yeah, using Vista and when BF2 is running I alt+tab out and it's not there.
