View Full Version : Ipod Touch - Who's got one? and do you like it?
Hey there fellow T&Tr's
I am thinking of asking Santa for a Ipod Touch 2nd Gen for xmas. :)
Does anyone have or used one and what do you think. Pos. and Neg feedback is welcomed.
I don't want a Iphone for 2 reasons. The phone is expensive and the monthly phone fee is ridiculous. I have a cheap phone and plan for that.
I want to wi-fi at local resturants, coffee shops, etc. and use the misc apps , video, music, etc.
Any thoughts?
PSP > Ipod
PSP Good games, good video, good sound quality bigger wide screen

and cheaper surprisingly
i hate apple
The PSP has wifi and a good internet browser plus you dont need crappy itunes
you can just copy and paste any video or music straight to the memory card in the psp
must haves are the USB cable and case
my girlfriend has an ipod touch. She likes it.

I have one, 16GB, it's good, my phone does it's job, and with the new software update for 5 quid, you can get a ton of free apps :)
i have a nokia from the stoneage and a 256mb mp3 player for running gigs! - Both very recommendable
I got Iphone and its same like ipod touch but it has the phone function i think its good as mobile phone with video music but maybe the psp is better if dont want the iphone
I have an ipod touch, 8GB. I just love the touch screen. So easy to pick a song/surf the web etc.
Mine is jailbroken though with some stuff I have put on, haven“t updated it to the newest firmware yet.
I even dropped the thing on the road, screen down without a scratch...
Accidentally of course.:)

Apparently you can run a blade across the screen without it scratching ...
DONT QUOTE ME ON THAT ! I heard it on some video from Apple, but I know I certainly wouldn't like to try it on my own (if I had one ! :p)
Was looking at an iPhone today, shame I dont have £350 to purchase one on a Pay & Go offer. *me hates contracts*
Sarge.
I went with an XDA Ignito (HTC Touch Diamond, basically) for my phone - I'm on an unlimited data useage contract with O2, £30 a month with 1200 minutes and 1000 texts. Touch screen for the snazziness, and it runs Windows Mobile so finding applications etc isn't a problem.
Oh... and the handset was free. A £30 contract with O2 would have cost me £159 for a 16Gb iPhone, I believe...
So no, I don't have one :D
What I will say, Depeche - is that for iPod Touch money thesedays you can get small netbooks that are basically tiny laptops that'd offer what the iPod offers you, and more...
Ok guys thanks for all the responses.
I am doing some more research based what you guys have posted.

Fun gadgets that do simple things but like gimmicks like ultra thin touch screen etc. Made to rip you off with Itunes and generally overpriced turdburgling
