Not for me, gonna build my sister a Budget PC

We want summin thatll go well when plugged into a 1080p 42" tv as a monitor... summin good for DVDs (blu ray would be mint) and something that can be further expanded in future as things upgrade...

we have a budget of £450 quid, possibly stretchable but not above 500

See what you can come up with d00ds ;) I've had a few goes, Like to see what others think, particularly when it comes to the Mainboard

7.1 optical sound card would be cool too... but thats dreaming

So you do you need a monitor?

Many motherboards come with 7.1 sound, so that's pretty easy.

If you want a monitor, I found a very nice Dell(yes I know Dell, but for what you are saying, does the job), without a monitor, £399, with this:

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8400 processor (3.00GHz, 1333MHz, 6MB cache)
256MB ATI® Radeon™ HD 3450 graphics card
2048MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024]
320GB (7200rpm) SATA Hard Drive
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium SP1 - English

With a 19" monitor it's £519, but if your interested, check here:

Monitor would be good, Buuuut I do have an old 17" she could have if need be.

Thinking about building it myself however I'm not the best with where to get the best parts for the cheapest cost on T'internet
