Banned.

I was banned less than a half hour ago because I TK'd someone. What happened was: he had just shot this chopper pilot who was sitting on the pad for repairs, with at least four other guys standing around waiting for the thing to be repaired, and got in the chopper and started to take off. So I shot him so he couldn't take the chopper, and they banned -me- for TKing him, when I was just making sure that the first guy didn't get shafted. I was gonna let the original pilot take the chopper again as soon as he respawned.

My ingame name was "Startrekern"

Thank you. And -- asking for the ban to be lifted. I'm honestly not sure if the admin that banned me saw the first part of what happened, or if he banned the other guy too, or what.

The person that TK'd the pilot was in Squad 4, alone. I don't remember his name exactly. I'm sure that if you've got battlerecorder or something you can see what happened.. it was at the US Pigfarm Chopper pad on the Qwai map.

As I said before, I basically was just going to let the original pilot take the chopper back when he respawned. I'm not sure if that's considered against the rules or not..

Our rules are very clear tk's or revenge tk's WILL result in a ban - as you have admitted to revenge tk you were banned.

We will not lift a ban unless we receive assurances it won't happen again - your call m8

Of course it won't happen again, now that your rule is clearer to me. I assumed (wrongfully, apparently) that it would be okay to TK the TKer so that the other guy could get his chopper back. It wasn't for revenge, really. But you have my apologies and assurances.

In a similar situation, ask for admin/take screenie - DO NOT take direct action!

These rules are necessary to run the server fairly & effectively.

How did you do the ban? If you did it in game you cannot lift a ban without my help.
