Kicked for making a squad? How silly

Sorry but you just have to giggle and the silly things some admins do? Mas saw fit to kick me tonight for making a squad. Now that's just silly. Sure I can that you are scared of the squad bug. But that is not caused by making squads when you load in to the server. And for sure it is not going to happen after you have been fully loaded into the server for a full 20 seconds. I Load really fast sometimes I am fully loaded and the timer says 2.44 to game start. So afthe 10 secs it is save for me to make a squad.

And don't give this stuff about the server software can't handle it. TG's server can do it just fine. And they ARE running the same Build as you. And they DO (ePoch note) the BF2CC damon.

So to end this little rant.

Kicking for making a squad is just silly.

We don't claim that it's limitations of the server we use; it's a BF2 bug that happens regardless of the server; can happen anywhere!

Secondly, there is a scrolling marque warning players not to create squads until 60 seconds remain on the spawn in time, and that those who do will be kicked.

Lastly, the squad bug doesn't come around by players making squads before their client has fully loaded it, it comes around if Squads are created too quickly within the time of the round starting; to be on the safe-side, we've toned this to 60 seconds.

Eitherway matey it's warned before-hand and is a system that's worked wonders over the last 2 weeks, I don't think being kicked is necessarily something to kick dust up at though.

the client creates a squad before the server's loaded and ergo squad bug.

I would personally value the opinion or Rank, Rhino, Nickbond etc. etc. etc. more than "TG this and that blah blah"

Please Oddsodz if you're going to rant about something try and make sure you know what you're talking about, this was one of the main things we discussed with the Devs at the LAN during the Q&A

Breaking a rule on a server that clearly states that particular rule in the map loading screen, every 5 minutes in-game and in BIG GREEN TEXT posted by yours truly right at the start of the round?

That's silly.


Seriously, whether or not you think I, T&T or the DEVs are wrong on this one, where you're missing the point is that it's a server rule, and you got kicked for breaking it.


Also, on a complete side-note you'd created a "Sniper" squad, one-man, and locked it.

like I said, t'aint nothing to do with bf2cc it's the client loading quicker than the server, no squads until 1 minute makes absolutly sure everything's loaded and good.

I concur. In fact cereating a one man squad and locking it is against OUR rules. I do believe the last time i looked it was OUR server.
