ok, i just got my new pc, and installed sof2... blah blah blah

i was playingn on MKP server last night and it began....

whenever the server changes maps or pb does a client check thing i get serious lag, but not due to my ping,,, ping was 20-30 all the time :S anyone help? plssss :cry:

Happens to everyone but should'nt do it at map change after the map has changed once.

Try turning down your FPS to 60, then quit, rejoin and see if it does the same at each map change.

PB is always problematic, but then it is trying to update client side files. Think about it, downloads of .pk3 files like custom flags etc. are all horribly slow when you are trying to join a server and you don't have them and you have Downloads On in your options, as SOF2 like most on-line games chews bandwidth at your end, leaving little scope for things like PB to pipe you some nice new updated files etc. I only get about 5kb/s download speed with SOF2 running.

Try the Frame Rate down a bit, see how you go. If this fixes things better, you need to look at your GFX card and SOF2 GFX settings.
