I'm 18, and a long time irregular PR player, found myself always having the most fun on the T&T server, so I've stuck around since

Currently residing in Braintree, Essex. Moving to Manchester in September to start Uni where I'll be studying to be an Aeronautical Engineer - something dull to bore people with at parties.

First real game was AoE, loved playing that as a 9 year old. Then moved onto CFS 1 + 2, and RA2 Yuri's, where I joined my first clan - not really knowing what was going on. Then I got CFS3 and discovered what it was like to play at less than 1 FPS. Didn't get back into PC gaming until 2005 when I bought a new system, BF2 and FEAR - Been playing BF2 casually since really. Not bothered with any BF2 clans, none of them ever appealed.
Bought 2142, played it for a week, it's gathered dust since. I discovered PR around 0.3, I was just looking for BF2 with more realism, and it instantly delivered. Not really played any other games since - a bit of CoH, SupCom on the side.

I've been playing a lot more recently and T&T have so far been the only group who seem to have their act together and play regularly enough for there always to be a friendly face on a server, the moment I realised this I've stuck around.

Thanks for being welcoming on TS and in the squads.
I don't mind paying, I'm glad I can contribute toward the upkeep tbh, makes me feel more included if you've got my money ;)

Have a goat :goat:
Thanks all

Welcome mate!

AoE was the first "proper" PC game I had too. Played the Demo, loved it, bought the full game a few weekends later. Me and my brother spent the afternoon trailing around our parents shopping in Shrewsbury town centre with the manual open, engoring ourselves on every detail. Still one of the best RTS games ever made, IMO.

I was about 11 or 12 I think, it'd literally just come out. My bro was about the same as you were; the pair of us still play the odd game of AoE2 over t'internet occasionally.

Hi mate.. good to have you on board.. been known to get my arse kicked in AoE back in the day.. i used to play with the pause button on 99% of the time, making online play quite challenging!

I used to live in Essex. One off the first proper games I had was AOE2, god I used to love that.

Also was going to do aeronautical engineering, but decided not to in the end.:)

Well, I kinda thought I was in charge round here. Seems my P.A. has his eyes on my seat.

However, I'm glad to welcome you into the community SqnLdr.

I have a few questions though:

Do you have a name?
All this [A440] and [E330] stuff - what do you play?
I see you've played a few flight sims - do you have LockOn?
Welcome to Tactics & Teamwork. Get Viglen to make you a cuppa.

Thanks for the welcome lads :D
I'm Sam, a guitarist of sorts with rudimentary keyboard skills - I enjoy the theory behind it mostly. Never played LockOn unfortunately, might be worth getting a copy though.
Seems AoE and AoE2 really are legendary - this is making me want to dig it out again :D
Thanks again lads
