View Full Version : Planned Get Together - pls read if you fly or are learning!
Ok... we've had a lot of peeps seemingly playing lockon, we have the potential to have a real blast with all of us on at the same time. I think the most we've had is 6, lets try and get 10 plus.
This is who i think play lockon; (have i missed anyone? I'm sure i have)
T&T: Tommy, Epoch, Gunwitch, Commando, Masaq, EXO, Doombringer
Eruntalon, Depeche & Hanniz
Regulars: igi Alex, SnypAly & CapnGimp
If you are not on the list, reply, this is open to all.
Lets have a one-off-all-get-together on a chosen night or weekend.
So when?.... I'm pretty flexible, but to get the ball rolling..my vote is for a week night, how about a Thursday. This one or next.
I do fear that epoch's laptop/connection may not be up up to the job with 10plus on, but if that is the case we can all meet on one of the dedicated servers on Hyperlobby. So whatever happens we will all be able to play together. So make sure you have Hyperlobby installed and tested before the night.
But it would be nice to play one of my maps on a private server... if anyone has any ideas; we need a high upload speed, so if you pay for a large upload speed let us know.

I just remembered Thursday's are bad for Masaq... is this still the case?

Nope, next thursday (or this) should be absolutely fine. GF's at work, I'm free to fly :D
Until i start training i'm free except Tuesday and Wednesday nights (college).
Tonight i'm off to sign my life away and learn how to drive a real tank

To be honest i need it
I will be there but the timezone issue will make it tough during the week. So if some guys are playing late ... game on! Most nights are OK for me Tues, Thursday, Sundays are best.
What's your zone mate??.. could you make 10pm BST (UK time).. if not we should maybe try for a weekend.
Be good to find a one off day & time when we could all make it.

I'm in US EST timezone so I am 5 hours behind you guys. So if you guys start at 9 or 10pm BST I can be on around 5:30 EST / 10:30 BST which should work out pretty good for me to be able to play for a little while with you all.
Makes more sense to have a good time for the guys on that side of the pond and I will join later. It all good. :)
Thurs/Fri/Sun/Mon nights are good for me. OMG - that means I have more nights with you lot than Emma!
I doubt my connection would take 10 players (particularly if there's a lot of AI in the air) but it'll be interesting trying. We do need a high upload connection really.

I was thinking that we could make a specific mission that we could accomplish together and then maybe finish with a furball agaist each other?
So what do you want to fly? Let me know.. and i'll make a mission to suit. But please at least let me know what bird you want to fly.
Hrmmmm... I still fancy hot A-10 tank/convoy hunts, they're good fun when combined with AAA and short range SAMs. If we're all going for fast-movers though, I'd prefer a 33 and the carrier :)

It's appreciated mate but I would say go for it on thursday - always gonna be someone that can't make it!
Can't guarantee friday either so wouldn't want u to swap on the off chance m8

Well, I definitely can't make Friday - taking Sarah down to see the family again for the bank holiday, away from Fri lunchtime through to Monday afternoon.
Thursday's the last day this week I can make it - tm or Thurs, either works okay for me. Oh, and happy birthday for then, Rob :)
Likewise - joystick's getting all hot and sweaty at the thought of it :D
New mission - for tonight. (95% A2G)
We will be entering Georgian airspace in order to destroy a forward command post and their airforce (fast jets are parked, they have scrabbled some Su25Ts though). Expect heavy defences.

Not sure how this will play... we have A-10s and Su-33s to fly. We can either fly both or just one type.
Flying A-10s i think it will be a toughie, but achievable.
Flying Su-33s should be easier, but still not easy.
However it's impossible for me to test alone, so i'm just not sure how it will play.

Masaq in the air... 3 bogies, one of them epoch, closing on him fast, i scramble and race towards Mas to give support, dogfight pursues...Mas gets downed, i down the 3 bogies & epoch, one of them with cannons, Mas scrambles, then the rolls are reversed....best bit of flying i've done in LO :D real blast!
If you want to watch it, put it in your mission folder, (or wherever you fancy) go to Open Mission, then select 'tracks' instead of 'mission' from the file type drop down..(bottom right).
Go to the menu on the top.. find 'play track'.. then it will load.
(Pause it, slow it down, speed it up, change views etc etc..)
Cool - will watch this! I fancy a bit of LO tonight ....
i'd like to.. but i may only get on for a wee bit.. got a friend of the missus round for dinner.. and i'm the chef! I might get on for an hour or so :p

Not bored at all. Difficult to get everyone on together at the moment though methinks. Masaq is rarely about, Commando is diving off the wardrobe into a threesome, Gunwitch is preparing to represent our interests abroad .....

Agreed it's been too long.
I'm defo not bored of lock on, just have limited game time atm!
I have plenty of spare time - just not access to my gaming pc!!
Also, we have been investing time to ensure the PR server stays popular - which I think shows in the full servers lately.
agreed... i didn't really think peeps were bored.. but it was a wee jab in the ribs to say lets get together soon!
Far too long since we played last. I just get the hang of mavericks and we stop playing lol.
Good news is i've stopped doing late shifts until 10pm so apart from Tuesday nights i'm free the rest of week, except this weekend where i'll be breaking in new pro boots on brecon :cool:
