I currently have £462 in my account, and payday is coming up soon; though I doubt I'll be in work (with ASDA) for much longer.

I've always liked the look of the Saitek X52 Flight range, but they were so expensive; these days, not so much (Especially now I'm no longer in college! :p )

So. The Saitek X52 costs around £85 and the X52 Pro, about £130-140, however I've remembered a local firm that's really good. Their prices, respectively are: £70 (vs. £85) and £102 (vs. £130-140),

Which would you advise? Or am I being crazy?

Don't spend all that money unless you're sure the game suits you. It's a lot to spend. I use a X52 Pro for Lockon, and a Logitech Extreme 3D for PR. Get a Logitech for now - they're cheap and reliable (mines lasted 3 years so far without any problems).

I don't use the X52 for PR - it's simply to sensitive and waaay too big considering you need mouse and keyboard too.

I paid £30 and i've been happy with my logitech 3d pro joystick. I wouldn't go overboard unless you know you will be crazy for the game.

I'll probaby get a Logitech Pro 3D then; been eyeing them up for jets since BF2 came out; still not got one, hence I still don't fly.

Which would you recommend?

I'd go with the none force 3d one, PR/BF2 doesn support it and i'va had trouble with it in LockOn, so I turn my force 3d off anyway.

Go for the cheap one...

I personally use a Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro 2, I know it's Microsoft but it is supported by basically every game as a result. It wasn't too expensive and it's lasted me for many years. I'd still be using the Force Feedback Pro 1 if it wasn't for the fact that XP doesn't support it.

Okay, I've bought a Non-force 3D Pro for £26 from amazon, and a logitech G5 2007 from amazon too, at £30.

ebuyer was an absolute rip off for both those items (Nearly £50), and scan.co.uk would require me to go pick 'em up; iitems were only £2 cheaper.
