Hi guys, this is another problem I've had like forever.

I have a LG L1915S Flatscreen monitor. Afaik, the highest resolution i can get in games is 1280 x 1024, however, when i select this (in Bf2, METW2 etc) the screens shakes a little constantly. This means I have to lower it to 1280 x 960 which is not a great deal less but slightly annoying all the same!

My graphic drivers are up to date, any ideas?

Hmm, my native res is 1280x1024 and i've never encountered that problem ?

Have you tried older drivers ?

Sarge.

EDIT: Oh, your drivers are up to date, silly me !

Try adding +szx 1440 +szy 900 to the target line in your shortcut (right click -> options or something). You can change the resolution to whatever you want and your game will start in that resolution. Works for me and the screenies are 1440*900 as well.

So the line I have is: "F:\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900

Do you run the widescreen fixer Dogpatch?

I do and I find it adds loads to the FOV

Oh, its not widescreen. It should handle 1280 x 1024 fine, but when i change to those settings in-game it just shakes a little bit and wouldn't be playable so i change it to 960. Would just be nice to squeeze every pixel outta my games :D

Can be found Here (http://www.imk.cx/pc/widescreenfixer/)

I am running v1.32 and that is confirmed PB safe

Heres a before / after comparison

After

As I said it is PB safe and I've been using it on the T&T server for months with not one single problem, unfortunatly it does allow you to do this:-

But you just gotta act responsably and not do that with it or people will complain and PB will end up banning it totally.

Do what? Zoom in?

I've used this for a long time.

I have tested the zoom which is the same without the program - although fov is larger u still get the same zoom magnification.

Well i've got it now so will test it out later. I've got hte usual Icon properties addition for my screen rez which blows it all up, but hopefully this looks like it's going to do what i want it to do.

Rico try adjusting the icon properties to your native resolution as per earlier in the thread.

I can't understand why it should shake, although looking at your monitor specs, it's not brilliant with 12ms responce time and 500:1

Rico

12ms response is fine for gaming. 500:1, yes not great but it'll do for now :D

I shall try the aforementioned ;)

No dice, shakes when i ran it with the extra line on the shotcut :(

The widescreen fixer adds about 20% vision to the sides of your screen, but you lose depth as the camera pans out, well worth it, imo!

The zoom-in thing isn't that great anyway; it jitters around if you try to get default view in zoom!

Just played PR and now my sound is echoing arghhhhhh

Rico is it under warrenty??... as i'd set it to default settings and if it still shakes i'd take it back to the shop.. sounds knackered.

I've noticed no difference with the screen fixer. I have the added extra bit in my icon properties and screen fixer running and the screen shots are the same.

You gotta activate it in game - ';' key for me, you'll notice the FOV change as you press it.

DOH! that works, although it has a fit when scoped up.

Sorry Rico, well and truly hijacked your original thread.

I think the next thing to do is see if it does it in any other games, if so then it could be on the blink. I can't think for the life of me why it should be doing it.
