Hi there!
Just thought i'd drop you guys a line by way of introduction, because you may well be seeing me around soon enough.
I'm Gharaks' brother, and hes been rabbiting on about how good bf2 and project reality are that i just had to buy a new pc to see what all the fuss was about....
I guess I've got to confess im a tad rusty at FPS's, my old pc simply couldnt handle anything even vaguely recent. However, BF2 PR really does sounds like my cup of tea (more tactical gameplay, less of the counterstrike-esq jumping up and down whilst sniping people in the head...) Naturally, finding a good community is a good way to get nicely addicted to a new game, so here I am!
To introduce myself, im in my lower-20's, from england. I'm coming from recently gaming in MMORPGs-playing world of warcrack with a bunch of RL friends-though I've dabbled in practically anything my old pc (RIP) could run. We somehow ended up being a rather successful casual raiding guild on our server. I guess im trying to get at the idea that I know what the whole 'teamwork' concept is all about, and im pretty darned good at doing what I'm told! Anyways, I'm looking forward to a nice steep learning curve and getting back into some good FPS'!

Hmm Kallor was the name of one of the guys going in and out of TS the other day then coming back with different names causing trouble (Viglen mentioned it in the members forum afaik)

I'm debating on whether I can handle the stress of trying to run 0.7 on this PC without tearing my hair out.... If I do then I'll give ya some orders to follow :D
Love this game, Once you get a good SL and get defending a single flag (that everyone wants) and you start to hold back wave after wave of enemies you'll get what we mean :P

Yup, getting the hang of it after a few night's play. Had some awesome rounds last night, brilliant teamwork led by Masaq. And my kill/death ratio is edging up, slowly...
Oh, and a big thankyou for finding space for me in squads every time!
Glad you enjoyed it! I can't promise quite that level of teamwork and co-operation every time - (I think we got very very lucky with the public players we had in the squad!) - but I gotta agree that we had some excellent rounds there.
We may not have had the most kills each round, but we did have massive teamwork scores all thanks to our ability to stop pratting about engaging/fighting over useless ground to actually get on flags and take them! The pubbies followed orders, and in short - we rocked.
Those couple of rounds last night were bloody excellant, even if we didn't win the team play was fantastic, the sneaky about to nobble the enemy control shed and bunker was fantastic and then Masaq just blowing the crap out the bunker. Wish i'd screen shotted it all those bodies :D
I didn't even see anybody in there lol - I just ran up and slammed the C4 on and hid until the vodnik went screaming past, then dived back around the corner and hit the clacker. Next thing I know you're going "whoaaaa, how many people in there!", there's a smoking wrecked vodnik and bodies scattered around like confetti :D
Kill count jumped from about 3-4 to 14, almost pissed myself laughing when I saw.
Got even better though in the next few rounds - we played that god-awful round of OGT as PLA where we got whipped, but we had it on twice later - one was the quickest round of OGT I've ever seen, as Brits. Just leapfrogged our way through the CPs, capping very very quickly.
Also had a ridiculously good round of Qwai, too. Chopper evacs from doom organised via TS, boat rides up and down the river capping like mad... we captured various flags 7 times in total, it was pretty epic. :D

Anyway, loved those chopper rides organised via TS, bloody good flying doom! (and then there was this guy in the chopper squad flying into trees, laughed my ass off when Masaq said on TS just after that: 'Do you think we could order another chopper...' :D
That bloody hotel was a nightmare. Did any other squad actually capture any other flags or was it just us holding hotel back and forth

qwai was good dogpatch remember the landing in the hot zone where masaq bailed when i had already took off again lol
i only got shot down twice and my 3rd death was well crash while typing i think im getting the hang of my joystick now =P

I'm not quite sure if we are talking bout the same thing now, but my SL and me (chopper squad) tried to take out the AA there with the cobra but everytime another guy jumped on it and it got us killed. MEC was really good on that map but it was a nice round.
