banned? why?!

well here's the problem, a few days ago i was playing in your server, was having lots of fun, was doing my job perfectly... no teamkilling, no foolishness, no BS.
after a few hours i had to go to lunch, and that usually doesnt take more than 15mins, so i just stayed in the server afk... when i came back, i half expected to find a kick message like this:'' you have been kicked for rerason: player idle time exeeded. (admin decision)''
but i got: ''you were kicked by an admin for exessive teamkilling or you were kicked after a successfull kick vote''. now, considering i had been afk in the meanwhile and considering i hadn't committed even one tk, nor that there were any kick votes against me, nor reasons for starting one, i can't figure out what happened. anyways at the time i just thought an admin had kicked me for being idle... problem is, every time i try to join i get that message.

now that's weird, because that's not a ban message, its a kick message, so it's supposed to show up just once.

its never happened to me that a kick should basically transform itself into a ban, thus preventing the player from joining. i don't know, anyways if some admin did ban me, then at least i'd like to know the reason; and if it's just a mistake i'd like to be unbanned, since i had lots of fun in your server.

Hmm, I dont recall you being banned, as it would have been mentioned ...

If one of our red tagged members sees this thread, they should be able to tell you if you are/are not.

Have checked the ban list & you are definately not on it!

Do you get that message every time you attempt to join our server? what about other servers?

Is MirindoR the only name you use or is it possible the ban is linked to another name?

In terms of getting the teamkilling message when attempting to join servers, it's usually a case of wait-and-see; a bad response between the client to the server that corrects itself soon enough.

Confirmed - this player is not on the banlist.

The 'excessive' teamkilling message is a generic message covering ANY kick from the server whether for idling, making room for admin or tk ! It's shit, but DICE made it that way.

yep seems like you were right. it was a wait and see... probably some kind of error, anyway it works now. sorry for the trouble, and thanks for the help and quick response

oh one more thing, i'd like to join you guys on vent/TS, cuz and also cuz my VOIP doesn't, and never has, worked, so ts would be the only way to communicate in-game.

i found the ip in the forums, but, as you certainly know, i need a pass.

okay, this is gonna make you lol... i just tried to join, and i got the message again... it's getting annoying, even if i played a round earlier (this time not going afk, lol) i can join other servers but not yours...
i did notice one thing though: your server is NEVER conpletely full, its always at 62/64...
i think this could be the problem, and maybe it's not just mine. i can't remember how many players were in it when i joined earlier today, but i think it was under 60. could it be possible that the server prevents players from joining after it has reached 62 man?
i just think it's weird that it's ALWAYS at 62 instead of 64... usually players tend to join the almost full servers, filling them up. hmmm i wonder if i'm the only one getting that kind of message.

yep, i was right. i managed to join at round start when the server had just 55 ppl in it, so i guess thats the problem. weird huh?

Well looking at the logs the server has been at 64 a couple of times today...

Are ya sure you aren't trying to connect to TacticalGamer when it's at 62 slots? They have a reserved slots thing that works when it's at 62 so that you'll get the "Teamkiller etc. etc. etc." Message if you try to join.

We have no such system so you should be able to join quite happily all the way up to 64

nah, if i do that i get a ''selected server is full, and your name isn't in the reserved slots list. please join another server'' message.
