Banner - Have you used the NVidia monitoring tool as well?

I wouldn't rely on one program that may be showing incorrect data/temps

indeed, One program can always be inaccurate, I used to have 3 and they'd all vary just a lil bit.
Try getting Everest from Lavalsys, I like that one.

iirc PCs go through wind tunnel testing when they're built to make sure they get the most clean air with the least effort (and therefore expense)

also is you're running in Sli the cards are pretty close together afaik and don't help each other to keep cool.

How many fans have you got and where banner? Air flow is important. Also try removing all the Blank Pci/Pci-express covers from the back of your pc.

Positioning and pressure can be important, My intake fans are arranged low down with output fans up high, also the Cfpm of the output outwieghs the input, so the case inside is at a slightly lower pressure, which helps suck more cold clean air through the intakes.

Personally banner i think RAM is our problem... I read about a bloke who had 3 gigs, only when he put in 3 gigs of high speed gaming ram could he play fools road smoothly

Cain, its not just fools road mate, deer hunter ? :p

RAM maybe an issue too.

Intake front, Outake back.

Never though of removing extra PCi covers !

Fans: gfx cards (one each) 120mm rear outake fan, and a big fuck off case fan up on the top.

P.S Yeh, SLi aint helpin >.<

Antec 900 case, that's what you want. It's like Lapland in a box, I got one.

2 at the front, one massive heffer on the top, one at the back and a side panel for one optional extra.

Agree with Heskey - new case is the the way to go to solve a lot of cooling probs if you still have an OEM crappy box!

At variance with Cain :o- removing PCI slots can make your airflow worse - the case needs proper airflow via fans that draw the heat away quickly not bleeding away through open holes!

Also make sure the interior of the box provides a clear passage for air - tidy/clip away cables etc.

Indeed Commando... It's all about pressures and airflow.

In my case removing the pci Blanks gives me suction into the case for the GPU , Without it the whole area is just dead air.

So much extra crap filling up the inside of my PC I've had to melt an arse load of holes into the front for the second intake to work proerly :P

Farkin 'ell

Looks like the couple hundred quid in the bank for my mini, isn't gonna be for my mini >.<

Well, the antec case is around 70 quid, thats cool.

Just hope no major damage is happening to the cards ...

P.S With 3 120mm fans and a 200mm one, is it reletivly quiet ?

LOL Banner!

Are they quiet? more to the point are they keeping your ££££££ graphics card cool....:D

Either the Antec 900 above or the Antec P182

All 4 standard fans have a toggle for LOW, MED, and HIGH.

I personally leave my PC on 24/7, even whilst I sleep, so I'm used to the noise, but taking my headphones off now and listening, yes it's rather quiet. Sounds like an air con :P

I'm sure weither this will help you, but normally vidcards can handle temps up to 75 degrees, above that you should start worrying.

My 8800 GTS is currently running at 680/2100, normally that should be 575/1700 Mhz and my idle temp is about 63 degrees and will go up to about 70 once gaming.

Try tools like ATITool, RivaTuner or Nvidia Monitor to monitor your vidcard temps since speedfan seems to deviate a bit and isn't that reliable.

Yeh, after reading a thread on the PR forums saying a guys 8800GT was idling @ 71 I wondered wether mine was overheating, and according to speedfan, 60 is omgwtfonfire mode ...

Did have Rivatuner, will have to find it.
